The band name “Letters Burning” was inspired by front man Tal Mir's memorable incident of an ex-girlfriend lighting his apology letter on fire. Letters Burning are a solid pop-rock band from California who bring hip-shaking, rock with loud and clear vocals blended perfectly with visual, emotional and dramatic driving music. “Walking in like a stranger in a strange town” are the opening lyrics to the band’s third EP “Attracted to Disaster” possessing memorable musical hooks that fail to leave your mind for hours. From start to finish their music encompasses passion and energy on every track whether it’s on their edgy and upbeat “Strip Me Down” or their candid and sincere acoustic “Deadboy”. Throughout their career the band has always maintained a do-it-yourself attitude gaining air play on World Famous KROQ 106.7 FM with their first single off their sophomore release “Critic’s Last Stand” a distinct and bouncy track which was inspired by lead singer Tal Mir’s sarcasm at being “cookie cutter” to make it mainstream. Since then the band has focused all their efforts in honing their craft and creating a relatively large all-age fan base. This lead to their 50 date Hot Topic in-store tour throughout California, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington and subsequently earning them a spot on the VANS Warped Tour for two summers. After playing a wide variety of college shows and club shows at venues such as Chain Reaction, Universal Citywalk and the Beatles Lounge at the Mirage in Las Vegas the band wanted to find a unique approach to reach their fans. With the support of YMI Jeans and ALT Press Magazine Letters Burning created the “Rock Your School Tour” which focused on music and arts awareness throughout over 40 southern California schools reaching out to over 50,000 students.
